Top Five Friday: Five Women Who Rock the Blogathon!

he best part of doing the Blogathon ~ besides the daily writing exercise ~ is meeting all these great writers!  I know, as if I don’t have enough books, e-books, articles, Facebook posts, and other blogs to read. 

What can I say, I’m a word-whore. 

And that little gem just made me think of another post I could write. Files thought away and hopes it will resurface again.   

I love reading good writers.  It makes me a better writer, and opens up my mind to new ideas and new angles on topics I already knew something about.  Most of the blogs I’ve highlighted on Fridays during the Blogathon I will continue following.  Their writing styles all struck me in some way.  And I hope they continue writing ~ if not daily ~ because their beautiful words are so needed to combat the everyday ugliness we all have to deal with now and then.                

A Dish of Daily Life 

Another great blog layout.  I can’t say it enough ~ having a beautiful design for your blog is one of the unofficial rules of blogging.  Give the eye something to focus on, and enough white space to rest.  A cluttered blog is an unread blog.  And Michelle has a great design that not only rests the eye, but houses great info too! 

Favorite post: Bloglovin.  I was wondering how I was going to organize all the blogs I follow once Google Reader dis-ta-pears in July.  Problem solved.  Thanks, Michelle!

I Shall Be a Toad
Another great blog name that draws you in.  But Dayle’s writing style and blog layout keep you there.  Not to mention, she’s a fellow Whovian! 

I especially loved the One Minute Writer posts ~ going to have to check that out!

Saying No Without Feeling Guilty
We all do it ~ say yes to too many projects, followed by feeling overwhelmed, followed by dropping some projects, followed by guilt.  Wow ~ just realized that I’m going to feel guilty anyway, might as well cut to the chase and just say and feel it anyway!

Actually, I’ve become much better at saying no to things; my body just couldn’t handle the stress anymore, the energy to do anything was just wiped completely away.  But I still feel like a loser for saying no.  So this blog is definitely for me!

Two Hands and a Roadmap
If I didn’t do these Top Five posts in alphabetical order, I’d put Tara’s blog at the top of the list.  Her writing style is easy on the psyche ~ in other words, a complete hoot and a half!  Post that made me laugh out loud?  How Can I Miss You…
